RWANDA AND SIERRA LEONE HIGH COMMISSIONERS IN GHANA PLEDGE COMMITMENTS IN ENSURING PARTNERSHIP AND STRENGTHENING COLLABORATION.

Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner in Ghana, H.E Francess Virginia Anderson PhD, on Thursday, 22nd February received her counterpart- the Rwanda High Commissioner in Accra accredited to Sierra Leone, H.E Rosemary Mbabazi.H.E. Rosemary Mbabazi expressed gratitude to High Commissioner Anderson for meeting with her and extended greetings to her from the Government and People of Rwanda.She said both Rwanda and Sierra Leone had a very good existing partnership between the two countries and that as Heads of Missions, they can build on the existing bilateral relations by working to strengthen it further for the benefits of both Countries.High Commissioner Mbabazi highlighted some of the partnerships, agreements and Memorandum of Understanding, which she said they both could champion and ensure their successes and or implementation; such as the Airspace agreement, MOU between the correctional service of Rwanda and that of Sierra Leone and more.As she looks forward to have her letters of credence handed over in Sierra Leone, the Rwanda high commissioner is hopeful of working together with High Commissioner Anderson so that both countries achieve their goals, while also commending Sierra Leone on how certain situations that could have broken the country was handled courteously.Receiving her counterpart, H.E. Francess Virginia Anderson PhD. appreciated the visit of her and pledged her commitment and that of Sierra Leone in fortifying the already warm bilateral relations.Commenting on the brotherly relationship between President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Madam Anderson said they are brothers who desired nothing but the best for both countries, adding that as heads of mission, they should only work together and compliment the work of their leaders.She called on her to count on the Sierra Leone High Commission at all times as she looks forward to a healthy working relationship.The High Commissioner of Rwanda H.E Rosemary Mbabazi was accompanied by her Mission’s First Secretary Jackson Ngabonziza and Communications and IT officer Evans Boah-Mensah.Sierra Leone and Rwanda have so much in common. Both countries share a history of fierce conflict, as well as the willpower to work towards a brighter future for their citizens.
