Sierra Leone’s Vice President, His Excellency Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, engaged the staff of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Accra, Ghana, during a working visit to Accra.
Speaking during the engagement at the High Commission’s Conference Room, the Charge' d'Affaires, Mr. Aiah Edwin Mbawa, on behalf of the High Commissioner, HE. Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba and the staff of the Mission welcomed the Vice President and his team, expressing happiness at hosting such an important personality.
He applauded the Vice President for his thought of meeting with the vibrant team of the Mission amidst his busy schedule, while assuring him of the team’s commitment to working harder and ensuring Sierra Leone’s flag is flown positively and higher in Ghana always.
Addressing both the Diplomatic and Non-Diplomatic staff of the High Commission, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, thanked the team for a well-organized meeting done on very short notice.
He described the High Commission as a strategic and important Mission, adding that it is also a transit and host country that requires great attention.
The Vice President commended the Accra Mission for its incredible support to Sierra Leoneans who mostly visit Ghana for medical, education, and transit purposes.
Reacting to some concerns raised during the engagement, he promised to engage the appropriate authorities in Freetown to ensure they are swiftly addressed for the good of every staff member and for greater productivity on the part of the High Commission.
Dr Jalloh concluded by urging the Accra Mission to be steadfast in their output and to always display a high level of professionalism while carrying out the duties and everyday jobs.
The Vice President also made a brief stop at the site of the new Chancery building of the Sierra Leone High Commission that is being constructed by Julak Construction Limited, with a hundred percent funding from the Sierra Leone Government.
There, he engaged and appraised the contractors, who were on the ground for a well-done job. According to him, from a distance, the work is of higher quality and durability.
